Research funding

For the development of research and innovation system the Ministry of Education and Science provides funding from the State budget, attracts funding from European Union funds and assists in attracting funding from international research programmes and financial instruments. An overview of the research funding system in Latvia is outlined in the research “The Latvian Research Funding System” (2017) carried out by European Commission’s Policy support facility.
