The Calendar #researchLatvia2023

The Ministry of education and science of the Republic of Latvia already for the sixth year organizes an event in order to contribute to the strength and diversity of the Latvian science.

The calendar “Research Latvia 2023” invites you to meet 12 unique and fascinating personalities in science. Conducting research in diverse fields of science such as literature, genetics, material science, music, space,

virtual reality technologies, military and veterinary medicine, biology and physics, Latvian scientists have expanded the horizon of knowledge not just for themselves, but also for all of us.

  • Mg. phys. Kristaps Paļskis (PhD student of Riga Technical University (RTU) and University of Latvia study programme “Particle Physics and Accelerator Technologies”, Researcher at the European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN).)
  • Mg. sc. ing. Anda Barkāne (Researcher and PhD student at the Institute of Polymer Materials, Faculty of Materials Science and Applied Chemistry, Riga Technical University)
  • Dr. phys. Aleksejs Zolotarjovs (Leading researcher at the Institute of Solid State Physics of the University of Latvia, Head of the Optical Materials Laboratory)
