Teachers’ Forum in Riga will gather leaders from the European Schools’s network and Latvian schools, representatives of the Office of the Secretary-General of the European Schools, university representatives involved in teacher education, education experts, and delegates from international organisations to share knowledge, exchange experiences, and explore innovative approaches to teaching and learning.
The forum will focus on the well-being of teachers and pupils, emphasizing how well-being in the classroom and school strengthens the quality of education. It will highlight the role of pastoral care in fostering a positive and inclusive school and classroom climate, supporting both pupils’ and teachers’ social and emotional well-being, and enhancing pupils’ motivation to learn and collaborate. Special attention will be given to supporting new teachers, promoting their professional integration and long-term growth. Participants will also discuss how data and research can guide educational practice and policy, bridging theory and classroom practice, and how European values, critical thinking, and active citizenship can foster community, responsibility, and a sense of belonging in schools.
Sessions will include keynote presentations by experts, thematic panels, practical workshops, World Café and a teachers’ poster exhibition. Networking opportunities and cultural activities will complement the professional exchange.
